Baby Toddler & Pre-School

Water has a special sensory element that land based exercise cannot offer

  • You can take baby from birth as long as his/her cord is healed, mothers coming into the water must have finished post birth bleeding before they can come in. Usually around 6 weeks old you can start. You no longer have to wait until they have had their immunisations, however any concerns should be discussed with your Health practicioner. Our teachers are highly trained in baby comunication.

  • Double protection - we recommend reusable inner and neoprene outer swim nappies for all swimmers until they are potty trained. We now include the Outer nappies as a free gift when you first enrol. Inner nappies can be bought from us for £8.50, just let us know you would like one on booking.

  • Babies need to feed regularly so in the pool is fine :-) but if you baby is on solids try to feed your baby approximately 1 hour before you swim. You can feed straight after swimming.

  • We aim for a lifetime of love and enjoyment of the water. We break the program into sections based research in child development  Our programme runs from birth to teens in stages of 0-4m, 4-8m 8-12m 12-24m 2-3y 3-4y then into our junior program and our Mermaids

  • Yes for older babies and children, once you baby is happy to self submerge you can come to our phot shoot. We run professional photo shoots with a reputable local photographer approximately every 3 months.

  • Yes you are both welcome, grandmas and uncles too, however we ask that you speak to your teacher prior to the lesson to see how many are in the session before you both come in. The best opportunity is the weekend workshop where we invite both parents and/or other family members.

  • Of course. the water has a special sensory element that land based exercise cannot offer. However, It will be specific to your child but most babies with a variety of special needs are able to swim. If you child cannot move independently on land they have the freedom in the water to move as they wish. you may need to consult your health professional

  • Our 10 week terms are from £34.99 per month or the upfront figure from £139.99 for a 10 week course this includes your free gift (either swim nappy or a hat, and swim bag). Subsequent bookings and siblings are discounted as a thank your for your loyality.

  • Missing the odd class due to illness or during the holiday's won’t matter to the overall progression of your baby or child. Try to go swimming when you can, as babies progress best with regular swimming which increases both your and their confidence. But if you can’t, please don’t worry just join us again the following week. Missed classes cannot be refunded or carried over to the next term.

  • Not at all - we help you to gain confidence in the water and all the pools we use are approximately chest height or lower. Many parents have conquered their own fears of the water by taking their baby swimming, and watching you grow into a confident swimming family is a fantastic experience for all involved. Just remember to stay relaxed and have fun, your baby will do the rest.
